I hate the beach.

Folks, I come from a coastal town in Italy and I never understood why anyone would want to go to the beach. The sand gets everywhere, the sun fries me out, and it's always crowded. <br><br>Once you're there, you have to get there early for a parking spot, set up your sun umbrella, lay down your tarp, lie down on your beach chair, buy some sand-covered food, and then if you want to take a dip into the sea you must shower all the sand off you once you're back at home. <br><br>And don't even get me started on the beach body shaming, the sand digging into your feet, the sunburn (and sunscreen), the stingers, the litter, the beach vendors, the noise, the crowds, the sand getting into your clothes, the sand getting into your car on the way home, the sand getting everywhere.<br><br>You know what I like about the beach? The view.
