What if Earth had only oceans and no landmasses?

I've been wondering this, nonstop, because there are exoplanets that are mostly oceans with little landmasses. Well, what if Earth had no landmasses? I know this is just purely speculative, but I love thinking of hypotheticals like these. So what do you guys think would happen?
