I’ve never seen people be so rude and ignorant at airports

I’m at the Atlanta airport. I’m sitting and waiting for my plane after getting a snack. These two younger girls come up, sit down across from me and get out their bags and are putting out snacks and putting out these little baby wipes. Then they proceed to wipe every single thing around us. I was unaware that COVID was still a big issue but whatever.

I start to hear these girls talk about how their friend was at the bar drinking yesterday in their hotel (I assume they’re here for a convention. There’s two going on) and got sick and now she has COVID. The girls were talking about how they know they’re likely to get COVID now because they were with her before she tested positive and how they were around thousands of people and are worried they could’ve spread it around and how they’re going to have to cancel their Christmas party they were supposed to throw.

One of the girls sneezes and the other girl says “oh no. You only sneeze when you have COVID!”

Honestly I don’t care if they have COVID or not or if I get it. I’ve had it twice and I’m sure we all have and just didn’t test positive. I just found it so rude that they were talking about how they could have COVID and laughing about giving people COVID and laughing about sneezing and thinking they already have it.

And I mean yes … I haven’t traveled a lot in a while but I don’t remember people just walking through airport security without taking off their shoes and electronics out of their bags and just walking through like nothing is wrong. I saw at least 7 people do that and the security guards just let them walk through like they were supposed to.
