People say “we will always be late to [insert news/tech]” and it’s BS.

I’ve heard this a lot lately, “we will always be late to crypto” or “we will always be late to AI”, “we are too slow to adapt”. I know I’m a bit of a jerk posting that doesn’t really have an opinion but this is something I think about sometimes. I’m not sure it’s true. I’m not sure it’s completely accurate. If I look at the major breakthroughs we obtained in the past few years… sure we were late sometimes but sometimes we caught up. Another example is trains, we were late and we caught up. Sometimes we don’t catch up, some parts of the country are still vastly behind in terms of mobile network quality. We are also very behind when it comes to 5G (although we are adapting very fast). <br><br>I do think we have some political problems in Romania and a lot of things that hinder progress but I’m not convinced that the saying is true. I’m mostly just curious if you agree or disagree and why.
