How would the US react if the UK took back their original colonies?

Let’s assume the UK, through, diplomatic means or war takes back not just the 13 original colonies, but every land the US took from them. How would the US react? Could they handle, spiritually, becoming a land locked nation and losing access to the ocean and international trade?
