How are they supposed to get better if no one tells them their scones are bland and their coffee is burnt-tasting? I even went so far as to leave a few recipes I found online that I thought they might find helpful printed out and stapled together in little packets, one for each shop, but somehow instead of thanking me they got angry. <br><br>The last one I went to, the one right by the park, got particularly upset when I pulled out my notebook and started scribbling away in it as soon as I took a sip of the coffee they’d given me. They actually called the cops, which I didn’t think they were allowed to do, so I left a very scathing Yelp review. <br><br>I don’t get what’s happening, at home I can make a mean cup of joe and whip up delicious muffins with the best of them, it can’t be that hard, right? I mean, how do they even stay open offering subpar baked goods and over-roasted coffee? I’m only upset about it because I feel it discredits me as a writer and makes it seem as though I’m not a real person.
