Everyone should experience America at least once in their lifetime.

I'm European, and at the age of 26 I finally got the chance to fly to the US (Miami). I had always been skeptical about the whole American experience, but because my girlfriend won a contest at work which included flights and hotel, we took the chance to explore south Florida. I was blown away. The nature, the food, the people. I've never felt so welcome anywhere before. The whole trip was a revelation, and I had a great time. I've lived in London, Paris, Rome and many others but this was something completely different. I have to admit that I was a bit nervous at first, because we all hear a lot of negative things about the US, but it was an incredible experience and I can't wait to go back and explore even more. Does anyone else had a similar experience?

Edit: I apologize for sounding like an American tourist in Europe. It wasn't my intention to sound so ignorant and offend anyone, and I certainly don't think that America is "better", I just wanted to express my experience and talk a little bit about it. I've travelled a lot around Europe, and everywhere has their own charm. I guess at this point I just wanted to engage a little bit with an American community. I value everybody's feed back and I appreciate the time you took to read my post and write your opinion.
