Customer service has, seemingly, gone to hell

my issue was resolved, but by email at 2AM. why can't the automation team fix it? i've been to customer service now 3 times on the same issue. how can they give me a totally wrong answer, refuse to send me to a person, and then by email all of a sudden, they give me totally different information?
