This chick is a history teacher and has done many video on feminist topics, and I thought she was pretty interesting. She claims to be a Christian feminist, but why would a woman as intelligent and well educated as her belief in Christ?

This is what she said on Christianity, feminism and patriarchal history.

“Christianity is one of the most patriarchal forces in history and history is patriarchal so what’s up with that? Feminists are always bringing that up. Is this a criticism of Christianity? Or is it a criticism of history? Christianity has a very patriarchal history and Christian history is very patriarchal. But the Christian text itself? I’m a feminist I’m a Christian and I don’t see any patriarchy in the Christian religion. But I do see patriarchal Christan men out there for sure, but I don’t see any patriarchy in Christ. And he actually welcomes women to sit at his table. Christianity wasn’t a patriarchal religion, but it has a patriarchal history. It is basically a criticism of the patriarchal Christian history. History is patriarchal and history is also about how Christianity became a religion for het males. It wasn’t about being anti feminist. But Christianity has a patriarchal history but it is not a patriarchal religion. Jesus did not describe himself as a patriarch. I’m not saying this right, I’m trying to say history is patriarchal. Every religion has a patriarchal history because our world has a patriarchal history. The only thing we can do as individuals is to make our own belief. Christ didn’t say that males will be above females. Women can as individuals decide their own belief. We don’t have to be bound to the patriarchal history and the interpretation of the Bible. I personally don’t think it’s a patriachal religion. But I think there is a lot of patriarchy in individuals. I’m not saying this right but that’s my view.”

And Christ welcomes women to sit at his table. The only thing I can say that even if patriarchy is in Christians as individuals, it is absolutely Christians as a religion who pushed that ideology for centuries onto the world.
