AITA for not using my first opportunity in six months to get my best friend a PS5 as a birthday gift?

So I finally had a chance to get a PS5. I've been wanting to get one for six months, but they're always sold out in my area. But I was at a store today, and they had a couple in stock. I was planning on buying one for myself, but my best friend's birthday is coming up this weekend. He told me back in November that he wanted a PS5 for his birthday, so I thought about buying the console for him instead. However, after thinking about it, I decided against it because I felt like I was being selfish for giving him the console I have wanted for months as a birthday gift. So I decided to buy it for myself and get him something cheaper for his birthday.
