My wife (36f) is in a coma, she has a 10% chance of surviving. But the tech to upload her consciousness exists.

She had a stroke last night. I just got the call from the doctor an hour ago. They say she has a 10% chance of surviving, but there's something else. He offered an alternative. It's experimental, and he says the tech is relatively new. It's a way of uploading her consciousness into a virtual world. I don't even think they call it an alternative, it's more of a science project than anything. There are so many questions left unanswered, but I have to make a decision in the next few hours. The doctors say that they could start working on this as soon as possible, and it would be easier to do this before she's gone.

She's not religious so she might have been okay with this. But does anyone know more about this? I can't find much on google. They just say it's experimental. How would this even work? Would she be the same person? It feels too good to be true, or maybe even too crazy to be true. But at this point I'd do anything to have her back.
