I’ve been to every state in the USA and almost 200 cities. Every city has its own charm and something to offer. However, after years of traveling, I have found myself returning to this one city more than any other. Seattle is hands down my favorite city in the USA, and here is why:

Nature - There is a lake on one side and Puget Sound on the other. It has a variety of mountains to choose from. I personally prefer Mount Rainier, but Snoqualmie is also beautiful.

Food - Seattle and Portland are by far the best cities for food in the USA. Seattle has a wonderful selection of fresh seafood, and everything else is also delicious.

Culture - Seattle is known for being one of the most culturally rich cities in the USA. It has a very wide range of museums and music venues. Seattle is the birthplace of Nirvana, and for that reason alone it’s the best city in the USA. It also has a very wide range of public transportation. I enjoy riding the ferry.

Snow - Seattle is unique in that you can go from having no snow to plenty of snow in a short period of time. If you enjoy snow, you can also drive to the mountains for a day trip.

Weather - Seattle is known for being rainy, but I would argue it has the perfect weather. The weather is nice all year round. It’s also very green. It’s the only city that I have been to that never gets extremely hot or cold. There is never a period where you have to stay indoors like you do in other parts of the country.

Cost of living - Compared to San Francisco, LA, or NYC, Seattle is very reasonable. I don’t think you can find a city that checks all these boxes at such a low cost of living.

While nothing in life is perfect, Seattle is as close as it gets. I would love to hear about your experiences or opinions about Seattle or any other cities in the USA
