A cycle for a lunar planet

Hello everyone, I'm trying to create a world with cycle to have active land masses, I've been reading a lot about the subject and I think I have a good idea, it's a planet that has a binary planet in its orbit, orbiting a binary star, the planet is a moon of a gas giant in the habitable zone of one of the two stars, I'm not sure about the details, but I think it would be a cycle in which the planet would go through periods of high activity and periods of low tectonic activity, could someone help me with a more complete model of the planet's period of activity.<br><br>PD: I'm not always active and I'm late to respond to comments, I apologize in advance.
