Hey everyone. I’m a lurker here.

I don’t know why it’s not mentioned here or if it’s just me, but lately I’ve been in the mind frame that under stress, we as humans don’t need to be a frugal and healthy cook. We need to pull what’s closest to us and take care of the priority at that moment. What’s the point of cooking a healthy meal if you end up in the emergency room bc of fatigue? You cannot put a price on your own health.

It’s ok to crack a box of ramen noodles and add some frozen veggies. You won’t die. Just keep chugging along and stay safe until you can get back on your feet. Reach out for help when you need it.

You are not alone. You are appreciated for everything you do, and everyone is proud of you for keeping on keeping on.

[Edit] I know there are many who are forced to eat poorly. I am an ob nurse practitioner and I see this all the time. But for those who simply are “at the end of their rope” in regards to cooking - this is a gentle reminder to make it through to the other side.

For those who don’t have a choice but to eat poorly, I am so sorry. This is for a particular subset of people on this sub.

Thank you for your understanding.
