I have 50k in cash. Where should I go to work in tech? Bay Area? Texas? Florida?

Hello! I have about 50k in cash and I am looking to relocate for new work. I have a remote job in tech for now but I don't feel like I fit in very well, I'd like to relocate to an area where I can more easily network in my industry. It's software/IT. I'm 32 and single with no kids. I am in the DC area and I'm not particularly thrilled with it. I've been considering Texas and Florida. I hear they are more business-friendly, lower taxes, and relocation in general seems like a good idea. <br><br>I've also considered the Bay Area but I am not sure how realistic it is for me to go there and make contacts or network at all. I also hear it's a bit expensive, but I don't care so much about that. I'd rather work in a tech hub but if it's too expensive for no reason, I'd be willing to look elsewhere. What are your thoughts on this? Would Texas or Florida be ideal places for me to go and make new contacts?
