Non-Perishable Pantry Staples For A College Kid!

Hey everyone! I'm a 20 year old who has just moved to the city to go to college. I'm looking to stock up my pantry with some basic staples, but I'm a bit overwhelmed. I am on a college budget, so I don't have a ton of money, but I also am aware that I need to stock up on the essentials. What are some must-haves that you have in your pantry? I'm looking for stuff that won't go bad in a couple of months, and I'm also looking for ideas on where to buy it. Just to give you an idea of my budget, I'm trying to keep it under $50.00 for my initial stock up.<br>TL;DR - I'm a broke college kid. I want to stock up my pantry, but I'm not sure where to start.
