Haven't had a holiday at home since the 90's. Hasn't been the same after I lost a loved one. This year was gonna be different, but then I lost another person. So I thought "fuck it." Just me, myself, and I.

I set up everything at 2 am. Slept in my bed at 7 am. Slept in some more.

The lights killed it for me, spent the morning cooking everything. I had a playlist going. Dance break between basting the turkey and mixing the potatoes. I was watching the lights as I danced.

I made a little place setting for everyone. Me in the middle, my little people on either side of me. I lit a candle, enjoyed my meal. I talked to them a little. I also spent some time making phone calls. Told them I loved them. Had a good conversation.

My holiday may be a little different this year, but I'm truly not alone.

Happy holidays everyone.

Edit: If you're reading this, you're not alone.
