Why do women think it’s a compliment to say “You’re not like other guys”

I’ve had probably 20 girls say this to me in my 22 years on this planet. Probably more than that tbh. And every time I just kind of give them a courtesy smile and nod because I’m British and I don’t want to be rude. But honestly, what the fuck does that even mean? I probably am like a lot of other guys because we all have the same anatomy and most of us are all fairly socially awkward beings. I’m probably just like a lot of other guys tbh.
