Science is an amazing thing. It has given us things like computers, planes, homes, cars, and so on. We live in a world of science. The official definition of science is a branch of knowledge or study dealing with a body of facts or truths systematically arranged and showing the operation of general laws: a system of knowledge covering general truths or the operation of general laws as obtained and tested through scientific method. Through that definition, science is practically the same as philosophy.

But should we trust science? **Should **we trust science? **Should we trust science?**

Well, if we really think about that, we must also wonder, should we trust philosophy?

Because in the end, science is nothing more than philosophy.

And I’m not saying that we shouldn’t trust science. I’m just saying we shouldn’t trust philosophy, and since science is philosophy, we shouldn’t trust science.

I mean, science can tell us **how** to do something. It can tell us **what** to think. But it can’t tell us **if** we should do it.

For example, let’s say you’re an alcoholic and you want to stop drinking. Do you say, “Oh, I know! Science can figure it out for me!”

No! You go to a therapist, and guess what they teach you? How to think. And when you learn how to think you learn how to live, and when you learn how to live you stop being an alcoholic.

Science can’t solve everything.

But that’s kind of a different topic. I was arguing if we should trust science.

So, should we trust science?

Should we trust philosophy?

Should we trust science?

Well, we all know that philosophy doesn’t have all the answers. Not yet.

But philosophy is the pursuit of knowledge.

Science is the pursuit of knowledge.

But should we trust science?

I think so.

Science is the pursuit of knowledge. Philosophy is the pursuit of knowledge.

Should we trust science?

Yes. We should trust philosophy.
