I’ve always been against drugs, which is why I dedicated my career to pharmacy. I love the shit I do every day. I get to help my community, and I’m a part of improving my patients’ quality of life.

I’m glad we’re a society where drugs are illegal. There’s a lot of toxic drugs circulating, especially now that fentanyl and meth are becoming popular. I see a lot of young people who die of overdose every year

But as of January 1 of this year, Oklahoma made possession of any scheduled drug, including weed, a felony. One of the first cases that came in was a young woman who was caught with weed. It was a small bag. Usually, she’d just get the fuckoutofmycourthouse fine and a misdemeanor, but today the judge threw the book at her and gave her the maximum sentence.

I was shocked. It was a small bag of weed. Just a casual smoking amount for one person. It was nowhere near a distribution amount, so I was surprised. I’m not sure if this would happen more often, but I imagine it would especially with the new law.

I don’t know a lot about weed, but from what I know, it’s a lot safer than a lot of other drugs. I’ve always believed that weed should be illegal, but now I’m not sure. Not to the point that I think it should be legalized, but that people shouldn’t be given felony sentences for having it.

I don’t know a lot about other drugs cause I don’t want to, but from what I know about weed, I’m not sure if it’s worth giving felony sentences for.
