I was about to reply to my single friend's message apologizing to him for how he was single for so long... ...then I saw that he had just gotten engaged to his long-time girlfriend. Awkward.

Like...I feel like I dodged a bullet here.<br><br>The conversation was about how I've been single for 5 years and I was going to talk about single life with him, add some solidarity, etc.<br><br>I saw the news on his Facebook page (the public one I could see) and now my whole message feels weird.<br><br>Good luck to my friend, he really does deserve it. Awkwardness on my part, too.
