My (31F) fiance (34M) wants me to pay him $15,000 as he feels I make more and that I was given more by my parents compared to him.

My fiance (34M) and I (31F) are getting married in 11 months. I was given more by my parents than him. I set a budget for my wedding which he was okay with. <br><br>However, he feels I haven’t been saving and I was dipping into the wedding budget to pay bills when things got tighter last year. <br><br>He found out I have some money saved up in my savings account which he wants me to give to him so he can buy his own house. <br><br>I told him he can’t make me give him money. I said I’d set aside the money I saved for a single income home of my own with a single income mortgage. <br><br>He said I was selfish and was taking my parents money for granted. And he felt I should pay him $15,000 so we’re on the same level. <br><br>I was offended by that and said I would not be swayed into paying him. I told him if he was upset because I was making more, perhaps I should pay less for the wedding. He said absolutely not. <br><br>He asked me to pay him the $15,000. I said no. He said he’ll buy his own house and it won’t be my decision. He said I get to decide on the wedding. I’m pissed I have to pay for the wedding and now he’s going to buy a house I may not like. I said that and he said it’s not his problem. I told him I will not marry him if he buys his own house. And he said it’s not my decision to make so I should shut up. <br><br>I walked away but I’m so pissed.
