Touching on the obesity issue - How did it get so bad and what's to blame?

I'm not going to say everyone should be skinny or ripped, however, it seems to be a massive problem, especially in America. Nobody should be 300 pounds or on their way to die of a heart attack in their late 20s.

It's true, people used to live a more simple life here, we were making progress and could enjoy life comfortably, and depending on how far back you go, obesity was not really a big issue, not at least to the degree it is now. The government hasn't helped either. The food pyramid and sugar recommendations were completely changed because of the meat and sugary food lobby which is why you have so many people suffering from heart disease, cancer, and other health problems.

Touching on the meat lobby. Nobody needs to be eating a pound and a half of meat daily. The evidence is clear about how harmful meat is for your health, yet it seems people in America want to continue eating the same way or even worse and expect their health to stay good. It's unrealistic. I'm not saying everyone should be vegan or vegetarian entirely, however I will say it's much better for you to eat more plant-based than a meat-based diet.

There are plenty of programs and services that make it much more affordable to eat healthy and fresh, so the excuse "I don't have the money" isn't really valid anymore.

It's very hard to travel anywhere without seeing obese people. It's a very sad thing. I've seen a woman who was 30 walking with a walker because her body was so weak. We should be ashamed of the state of our country and the people in it. We should be doing better and we can be doing better. I just wish more people would do something about it.
