AITA for refusing to lend money to my daughter who is on the brink of divorce

I worked very hard my entire life to set aside money for my retirement. My husband died in 2015 and this is the first time in 8 years that I've had some peace of mind. My daughter is getting a divorce from her husband. She's been separated from him for 3 months now and is really struggling to make ends meet, so she asked me to lend her $12,000 to pay off some of her debts. I told her that I couldn't help because I don't have the money to lend her, but she kept pushing me, saying that she really needs it and that she'll pay me back as soon as she can. I'm worried that if I lend her the money, I might not see it again, and I don't want to risk my retirement savings. Plus, I think she should take responsibility for her finances and figure out a way to manage on her own.

Am I the Asshole for not lending her money, or is she being unreasonable for asking?
