MBB M&A Middle School career progression

Hey everyone, I am student at a top US university who has done an internship at UBS and Middle School at MBB consulting firms for the last six months. I have been extended at the consulting firm for three more months, so I have nine months at MBB total. I believe MBB is trying to make me go for the FT role as I have been given tons of time to figure out what I want to do. I have done a ton of networking and it seems like I can get a bulge bracket M&A job. <br><br>I had planned to do bulge bracket IB -> HF and I am not sure what affect staying at the consulting firm will have on my career. Do you think staying at the consulting firm will help or hurt my career? Are there any success stories of Middle School at MBB -> Middle School -> IB? <br><br>I know people who have done Middle School at MBB and have gone into IB, but I do not know anyone who has done two Middle Schools.
