I'm doing a small research project on the benefits and drawbacks of writing a creative story. You all are a prime group to ask this question to. Some of you write fiction. Some of you write poetry. You all have a passion for writing.

I'm going to assume that if you're here, writing provides at least a little bit of positivity to your life. If it's not a form of stress relief, it's a form of entertainment. This also assumes that you have done some form of writing which has provided a positive experience.

I'll ask you this: What's the catalyst that causes you to continue writing, and how much of your time does it occupy? Do you find yourself thinking "Ah, I really need to spend some time writing. It's good for my soul"? Or do you find yourself thinking "I have a few hours to myself, I wonder if I'll write anything"? Let me know.

P.S.: If you have any thoughts, please do let me know. I'm really intrigued by all of you.
