I've recently discovered that I have a huge crush on my best friend

So we've known each other for around 6 years, and she's been my best friend for around a year now. We get on so well, we're basically two peas in a pod, and I never thought of her in any other way than just a friend. <br><br>She went out with a guy recently and I found myself jealous, which I thought was strange because I'd never felt like that before. I thought about why I was feeling jealous, and then I discovered I had a huge crush on her. I thought it would go away after a few days of just being friendly but it hasn't. <br><br>I'm scared to act on my feelings because I don't want to ruin our friendship. But at the same time if I don't act on them then I might regret it for the rest of my life. I don't know what to do.<br><br>EDIT 2: I'm going to risk it. I'm going to take the chance of ruining our friendship and I'm going to tell her how I feel. I'm fucking terrified but I have to take the chance. I deserve to be happy and I deserve to find out if I have a chance with her or not. Fuck.
