I'm tired of seeing an article saying it's cheaper to meal prep.

> Company X meal prep 2-3 cups (150-200 calories) of chicken and vegetables for <$X> >< 1% of this company's equity

> 2 cups (150-200 calories) of chicken and vegetables from a grocery store would cost around <><$X> or > 1% of the company's equity

A side from being irresponsible in reporting the cost, it's just simply not true.

The only advantage from an economic point of view is buying in bulk from an established brand (which will be more than 1% of equity) reduces the per unit cost of the food.

Buying in bulk doesn't make it cheaper, it allows you to sell more food per <unit of labor>. Since you're buying in bulk and preparing in bulk, you will use less labor than you would for individual portions. With more food per labor, you can then distribute the food at a lower per unit price. If you sell more units, you can then get more profit. (In the case of a company, return on investment or ROI).
