If you work on the day before Thanksgiving, your job really sucks

Just got back from a terrible commute this morning, and I just realized that anybody who has to work the day before Thanksgiving gets absolutely boned with a commute. It’s the day most people in the US travel for Thanksgiving (except for those who travel on Thanksgiving day), and it’s also the day that schools are normally out anyway. If you work in one of those buildings where companies lease a floor, you likely have a ton of companies and employees in your building, most of them are leaving around 3pm or so, and of course you are still here. Literally nobody goes out to commute this time of the day and no company wants to let out employees at 3 o’clock in the morning when traffic is a little bit lighter. So, you literally have no choice but to leave your job when you have to leave your job, which always happens to be the same time everybody fucking leaves their job, resulting in a commute that is 2x or 3x longer for anybody who has to work this day.
