A few questions about algorithmic problems.

Hey guys. This is my first post here. I am a first year Information Technology major, last year I completed C++ course in my college that taught me C++ basics and afterwards I started practicing problem solving on LeetCode and Solve.etf.edu.rs. I know I am a complete beginner, but I am really frustrated how some problems are easy for me and others are impossible in a sense that I am not even sure how to write a brute force solution to some problems even after hours of thinking. Some weeks I know I just have to practice and over time I will become better at it, but sometimes I am in doubt if I am truly cut out for programming or if I just need to put more effort into it. Do you have any similar problems or is it just me? What do you do in a situation like that? Sometimes I feel like I am a privileged brat to doubt whether or not I can do this when my grandpa worked as a mechanic for over 40 years and my dad had to start working at 15 and he had 3 jobs during college. Sorry if any of this doesn't make sense, I am really confused and emotional right now.
