I saw an executive from my company post on LinkedIn that a company-wide layoff is taking place today. How should I approach the rest of my workday?

I work in a very specialized technical field within my company, and I saw several post from executives on LinkedIn earlier today. The first few were vague about a restructuring but the final post stated that the layoff was taking place today. Apparently they send emails out first thing in the morning to affected employees, and then allow them access to my company's internal website for a short time to say their goodbyes before their access is revoked.

This got me thinking about my own job security. I am a relatively new employee and although I have produced quality work, I fear that I may be on the chopping block today. Should I go about my day like normal, or should I try to do something different in anticipation of this? I am already working on one of our highest priority projects, so I'm not sure if there is anything else I can do to improve my situation.
