Methamphetamine and depression

Meth head here... I'm 34 years old and have used Meth off and on since I was 21. I've had depression for most of my life and have always found Meth to be a great remedy. Last year I was prescribed some and used it for my Ritalin for depression and found it helped and was extremely effective. But of course I overused it and ended up using way too much and had some negative results.<br><br>So my question is this. Am I wired in a way where my brain needs ephedrine or amphetamines in order to function? As in, I need to take these drugs in order to feel normal and have energy ect. Or can you recommend any other drugs that I should ask a doctor for that might be able to provide similar results.
