Why is the world still letting the patriarchy be in charge of our bodies and reproductive health?

Especially in countries that are first world and considered civilized like the United States. I thought the whole point of the feminist movement was to get women into positions of power and put the patriarchy on it's ass in the 1960s. But that never really happened. All the men got to keep their jobs and were never bitch slapped into their place. The feminist movement was a failure and the struggle is still real for us.
