i was planning to visit a friend on the other side of the US for thanksgiving, and i cancelled my plans literally like less than 48 hours before i was supposed to go. i just got this weird feeling about it. so i searched "women's safety [friend's state]" and oh my fucking god, i'm so fucking glad i did. i know there's a whole sub for it, but i had no idea that just by being single, i would be "more likely to be targeted." like holy shit, what? "people" with partners are safer than anyone without one? so i search it up and it's real, but you know who the vast majority of people are who are single? Womxn. So now Womxn are more likely to be targeted because "people" with partners are safer than single "people." that just means more womxn will be targeted!

i have to say it's fucking "people" with partners who are the real targets, right? oh wait, no. that's not how it works at all. it's not that people who are single are more dangerous, it's people with partners know how to protect themselves better. yeah, that's why i've never been sexually assaulted at all, ever. because i know how to protect myself.

anyway, i guess my point is Womxn "people" who are part of the LGBTQ+ community need to be more careful than anyone else.
