My husband is very pro-vasectomy and wants one. No, this is not because we are in the middle of a fertility battle or want a bunch of kids. No, our sex life is fine, and his libido is still there.

When we first started dating, my husband knew I wanted children. He was very anti-kids and only wanted one kid max. He worried about their future and what they'd inherit. That was the base of a number of our debates in our early years of dating.

He still wants kids.

And he wants a vasectomy.
His reasons:
- "I don't want too many kids."
- "I want to make sure I do get to have kids before I'm too old."
- "I don't want to procreate after [35]."
- "It's an easier way to be certain of permanent male birth control."
- "I'm sick of condoms."
- "It's a good form of male permanent birth control."

I want kids too.
I want them before 30.

And my husband is debating whether to have a vasectomy.

He's never been sick. Why are we even doing this? His reasoning also doesn't make any sense to me.

I'm 28. He's 29. We both want kids. Why would we have permanent birth control when we want kids?
