My grandad told me he’s not sure whether he was a regular soldier or a spaceman

As a kid my desire to do something with my life was overwhelmingly strong. It was diffrent every day. I think once I talked to my granddad on the phone and told him I wanted to join the military. He was very old at that time and couldn’t speak very well. All i remember was him saying: <br><br>“You can join the military but I’m not sure if I was a spaceman or a regular soldier, but I flew higher than the clouds”
