My sister (F26) is being clueless about money, and I think she's going to regret her decisions

She's an elementary school teacher in a relatively high paying school district. She makes $75k now, but will be making $100k next year due to getting her masters degree.

She's about $70k in debt (student loans, 2 car loans, and a little bit of credit card debt). She's been saving as much as she can for a house but thinks she'll be able to get a good one for $400k. She lives in the Northeast so that's pretty standard, but it still blows my mind.

She's going on a week long vacation to Hawaii with my parents this month. She paid for her own flight, but as a teacher, she doesn't have much vacation days left and is going to take a few days off to do it. She also got a puppy last year and it has many medical issues. She says she now has to pay $130/mo for its food and it needs another expensive surgery.

She has about $25k in savings but wants to have $50k for the house, which is probably smart. I just have a bad feeling she's going to overspend her money, take on too much debt, and be stuck in a situation that isn't sustainable.

How would you handle this? Has anyone been in a similar situation?
