I have six people to feed; 4 of which are men, 3 of whom I have to drag out of bed in the morning to insure they are fed breakfast. I work full time in a warehouse, so I get up at 4:30 AM to make sure they have breakfast before leaving for school and work.

I am so tired of soup. My family loves soup, and it’s a great budget food, but I’ve been sleeping on the couch in front of the fireplace for a week after coming down with bronchitis. I am tired of soup, and have been tired of soup for a long time.

I’ve been sleeping on the couch on and off between dosing the sick kid with medication and making sure he’s hydrated, but I just had to make myself get up and cook last night. I made mac and cheese. It was beautiful, creamy, and filling. Everyone loved it, and I felt like I’d done a wonderful job.

I’m tired of soup. Does anyone have any recipes or ideas for budget breakfasts and dinners that aren’t soup?

I’ve gotten a ton of great ideas from this sub, but I’m still looking for more.
