Did Alexander the Great use germ warfare during the siege of Tyre?

There is some evidence to suggest that Alexander was well aware that burning the city’s sewage on the walls would create a large amount of toxic smoke to help weaken the defenders. It mentions this in the Alexander the Great Biography written by Johnathan.
