Have you ever noticed that a majority of people in the US who are in the medical profession or people who are police officers are overweight, out of shape, and extremely unattractive. Let that sink in for a sec...

Now, in all reality, who do you think would be best suited for the job of a police officer or people who work in an ER? Logically it would make sense that police and people who work in emergency response should be in top physical conditioning to better do their job. For instance, a majority of crimes are committed while the suspects are on foot, therefore it would stand to reason that the people chasing the suspects should be in good enough physical shape to chase someone, lift them up, or apprehend them.......right? Unfortunately a majority of cops are fat, sloppy, and smoke and drink like fish.

Same thing with a majority of people in the medical profession.....wouldn't it be better to have people in the medical profession to be in good physical shape to better handle an emergency. It wouldn't make sense to have medical professionals be out of shape, smoke and drink, and be sloppy.

I've personally had 2 surgeries go wrong in which I had to be rushed, via ambulance, to the ER because I had to have another emergency surgery. During the first time I had to be rushed to the ER, the 2 EMTs who picked me up from the place I was at were both out of shape and smelled like BO and cigarettes. I watched them struggle to pick me up and put me on the gurney while grunting and groaning from the weight of the stretcher. Then on the way to the hospital one of the EMTs had to sit next to me on the right side of the ambulance, while the other EMT sat up front driving the ambulance. During the whole ride I never once seen the EMT check my vitals, nor did I see him check any of the equipment I was hooked up to. Also, he never once talked to the driver or communicated with him on anything. So, a 2 man team, 1 man up front with his head buried in his phone the whole time, and the other guy sitting next to me scrolling on his phone reducing the ability to see the road and react to any hazards. During the 20 minute drive to the hospital the EMT has never once looked up from his phone, and the driver hasn't once looked up from his phone.....yet people actually believe that the driver was watching the road the whole time, and I'm pretty sure the driver, who was looking at his phone, was able to react in time to avoid any hazards or traffic jams.

I've worked in the medical field for 11 years now, and I've seen the majority of people in scrubs to be people who are out of shape, sloppy, with BO, and with a smokers cough. I've personally seen with my own eyes a nurse, who was overweight and sloppy, spill a bowl of blood on the floor of the operating room, try to clean it up herself, but end up slipping and landing on her ass. She didn't just slip and fall, she actually slipped, landed on her ass, kicked her feet like a little kid, while yelling at the top of her lungs.......I'm not even joking, I've personally seen this with my own eyes.

I have a few questions for you....have you ever had an experience with police or people in scrubs where they were completely unprofessional? Have you ever had an experience where people in the medical profession completely botched a procedure you were having done? What people in scrubs or officers have you encountered that didn't seem people who you would want working around you?

Thing to think about.....you're probably more likely to get better healthcare from a homeless, alcoholic veteran, than you are from a majority of people working in the medical profession.
