How do you feel when people say coding is hard?

People around me will say it because I say I like coding. I feel like this is similar to what happens with women in tech (I am a woman just FYI). <br>I know we are far from making coding mainstream but it seems we still have the stereotype that coding is hard. Like what are these people? They know its not true but they say it anyway. It very similar to what us girls face because it just seems to be a stereotype that we can't code (I know its a long way off but it feels like its still prevalent). I find it hard to be passionate about something when you know there are people around you that think you're stupid for doing it. I wonder if this is similar to what other technical subjects are like as well.
