Why don't chubby women like skinny men?

I'm currently trying to improve myself. So I'm not saying that chubby women HAVE to like skinny men. But I've had a couple of chubby people interested in me here and there, and we always seemed to have a nice vibe and everything, until they find out that I'm skinny. Then they just disappear. I'm currently talking to a chubby girl, who is very cute, and we are getting along very well, and she has told me that she likes skinny men, which was a surprise to me. So hopefully, she is telling the truth.<br><br>But here's my question: Why don't chubby women like skinny men? I've heard that they are self-conscious about their bodies, which makes sense, but that doesn't make sense either, because I'm also very self-conscious about my body. I don't like being skinny, and it has made it very difficult for me to find a date here and there. Even though I work out every day and eat healthy, I just can't seem to gain a lot of weight, I just plateau it after a while.
