However, there's no official word on when this policy change will be implemented, and Twitter's policies still indicate that violators will be temporarily locked out of their account.<br><br>Going off-topic is listed as one of the violations of Twitter rules for which a user can be temporarily locked out. <br><br>According to Twitter, violators will be temporarily locked out of their account. It can last for 12 hours but can also be permanent.
