CZ 457 scope for a beginner

I just bought my first rifle, a CZ 457 Varmint. I am not sure what my budget for a scope should be, but I want to stay under $400. I am looking for something to help me get started, with adjustments for wind and elevation. I found that Burris, Leupold and Bushnell are the main scope manufacturers. What would you recommend for a beginner?
