The amount of kids stealing because they're bored is insane

I've been a stocker for Target for a little over a year. I've never seen a sudden spike of theft like I have over the last month. I've caught several kids a day, mostly teenagers, stealing stupid shit like earbuds or fucking popcorn. I've also caught kids trying to leave without paying for anything. I've never had an issue with this at the store I work at until now. Honestly it's fucking annoying. I don't see the point in stealing fucking popcorn.
