Why do parents want teachers to tutor their kids outside of school hours?

I work at a private school in Asia. <br><br>We start school at 7:40 and I’m in the building at 7:00am. I work all day, answer emails 24 hours a day, grade papers until 1 or 2am when I go to sleep. I also have to open up open up my online classes on the weekends to teach any kids who missed classes during the week. <br><br>It gets to be a little bit too much. I don’t see my own kids ever and I’ve pretty much missed out on the entirety of my daughter’s 3rd grade year. <br><br>Parents email me demanding extra tutoring outside of school for their child, but refuse to pay for it. <br><br>I am so tired.
