How should a 21 year old invest $3000?

Hello,<br><br>I'm am 21 years old and a university student. My grandma gave me $3000 to invest. I'm not sure where to put it.<br><br>I just got a 2% savings account at my bank to keep some money in there for emergencies. I was thinking of investing in index funds. But what is the best index fund to put money in? And what is the best platform to use?<br><br>I live in Canada by the way. <br><br>Thank you!
