Mainstream "right-wingers" in Israel would be considered leftists in America

Unpopular opinion: it seems like many people in this chamber are justified in calling themselves "right-wing", but have no idea what that actually means. The mainstream "right-wingers" in Israel would not even be accepted as right-wingers in America. <br><br>The number of people that have called me a "leftist" for being pro-life, pro-2nd amendment, and anti-LGBTQ are endless. The right-wing in Israel is not the right-wing in the US/UK/Australia etc. <br><br>The mainstream right-wing in Israel most of the time has more in common with leftists in the US than they do with actual *right-wingers* in the US. Right-wing Israelis are now backed into a corner and have no choice but to vote for religious parties. <br><br>Prime example: religion, the vast majority of the mainstream right-wing would vote for the Democrats if they lived in the US.
