My dad told me he was in love with me.

I (21F) was born and raised in a conservative southern state. <br><br>My mom was an addict. She was never around while I was growing up. When I was 15 my dad told me to stop calling her my mother. She wasn't really my mother because she didn't act like a mother. He told me to just call her by her first name from then on. <br><br>My dad and I have always been extremely close. We shared a king sized bed our whole lives. He never pressured me to get my own room. Even when I got my period at 14 my dad showered with me until I felt comfortable enough to use tampons. <br><br>When I was 20 my dad told me he loved me. He told me he was in love with me and wanted to be with me as he would be with a wife. I didn't find that strange at all. I was expecting it. I wanted him for a long time too.
