How do you deal with "This is overpowered, nerf it" criticism?

I've been experimenting with some ideas for a new setting, and I've stumbled upon a few that I'd really like to use, but there's this issue while sharing them with other people, both online and offline, that everything good comes with the criticism "this is too strong, this has to be nerfed", and this usually comes from the people in the tabletop groups I've joined.

For context, my usual genres of worldbuilding and writing are high or epic fantasy, with some sci-fi on the side. My usual method of dealing with these criticisms is to roll with it, and just accept that the thing or setting is nerfed, but the problem with this is that I usually get a suggested nerf that's effectively "make it useless or not fun", and I don't like to go with that, because it defeats the purpose of worldbuilding, which is to create something fun first and foremost.

So how do you deal with this kind of issue? I've tried explaining that epic fantasy is supposed to be fun, and that this nerf would make the story boring, and that usually doesn't help. I've tried to just ignore the nerf suggestion and take it with a grain of salt, but that usually gets me ghosted or unfollowed, which is frustrating if I want to know what other people think about my work.

How do you deal with this issue, and what suggestions would you have for me?

Edit: Thanks for all the answers, I think I might have a solution.
